What are the benefits of becoming a NJ Medical Cannabis Patient?

As of July 2022, Medical Cannabis patients do not pay any state tax on their Medical Cannabis purchases; compared to 6.625% sales tax on Adult Use purchases.

I have a medicinal cannabis registration card from another medical cannabis state. Can I use it to purchase medical cannabis at The Botanist NJ?

Yes, after you get a temporary New Jersey patient registration. Patients registered in other states may get a temporary New Jersey patient registration by consulting with a registered New Jersey health care practitioner. Patients will need to provide a current copy of their registration in their home state’s program and a valid photo identification card. Temporary IDs are valid for six months and cannot be renewed.

Can I place an order online?

Yes! For your convenience and to save time, you may browse our full product assortment, place an order and pick up your items at the dispensary. Just click "Shop Medical" above to get started.

Online orders are optional and not required. Our staff is happy to help guide you through a walk-in purchase with in-store menus.

What payment methods are accepted at your locations?

We currently accept Cash, Debit (Must have PIN, processed as Cashless ATM), and CanPay. CanPay (canpaydebit.com) is the most efficient payment method, which helps keep our transaction times down for shorter lines!

Who qualifies to purchase Adult Use Cannabis in NJ? What identification is required?

You must be at least 21 years old to purchase cannabis at our adult use locations and have a valid government issued identification.

How do I become a NJ Medical Cannabis Patient?
